Mark Pavlyukovskyy

A finalist in Peter Theil’s “20 Under 20,” Mark is currently completing his senior year at Princeton University with a major in Molecular Biology and a certificate in Engineering. He began the Indepedals Project with Dr. Mihran Vardanyan while on a semester abroad in Oxford. At Princeton, Mark founded the student forum Princelink, and has been recognized for the innovative, game-based disease-prevention curriculum he implemented last summer in Ghana. Mark enjoys playing ping pong and watching movies in his free time.

Mihran Vardanyan

Mihran Vardanyan holds a PhD degree in Astrophysics from Oxford University. In 2011, he was awarded a grant from the Royal Geographical Society to lead an Oxford University Expedition. He is a co-founder of the Oxford University Armenian Society, serving as its president for 2 years. Dr. Vardanyan has founded and successfully run two companies.

Kasturi Shah

Kasturi is a freshman at Princeton University  and is from India. She is a member of IndePedal’s Engineering, Design and Business teams. She is a potential physics major and is considering certificates in the visual arts, computing and Spanish. She is very fond of alpine mountaineering and enjoys painting and tennis. On campus she is a member of the women’s club rugby team, the Engineers Without Borders Peru project and is on the board of the International Student Association.

Bode Adunbarin

Bode

Bode Adunbarin is part of the engineering team for the Indepedals project. Along with the other engineers, he is working on finding necessary parts required to assemble the project’s prototype. He and the team will then construct the bike-pedal powered electric charger. A freshman in Princeton’s School of Engineering, Bode is planning on majoring in Operations Research and Financial Engineering and is also interested in taking a finance certificate. In his spare time, he enjoys playing intense games of pool and listening to talented artists such as Kendrick Lamar and Mumford and Sons. Bode is also a soccer enthusiast.  When he was 13 years old, Bode juggled his soccer ball 1327 times.

Stephen Cognetta

Stephen Cognetta

Stephen Cognetta is working on the Engineering, Business, and Funding teams for Indepedals. Stephen is a Chemical and Biological Engineering major, with certificates in Neuroscience and Engineering Biology. In his free time, he is also editor-in-chief of Innovation Journal of Science and Technology, and treasurer of the Student Health Advisory Board.

Pelin Asa

Pelin Asa

Pelin Asa is a freshman at Princeton University from Turkey. She is planning to major in Architecture and Engineering with a potential certificate in visual arts. With interests in architecture and arts there could not be a more suitable team for her than the design team of IndePedals. She joined IndePedals to be able to apply her coursework and interest in design in a hands-on project to help developing countries. Other than IndePedals she is involved in the Princeton University Band- as seen in the photo with their trademark plaid uniform and her accordion- Engineers without Borders and Video Production Agency.

Richard  Hu

Richard is working in the design team to come up with compact and portable models for the pedal. A freshman in Princeton University, he plans to major in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He is also a member of the Princeton University Wind Ensemble and enjoys playing saxophone during his free time.

David Fisher

David Fisher

David Fisher is a freshman at Princeton from San Francisco, California, who is on the engineering team of the the Indepedals Project.  His potential major is Civil Engineering and possible certificates are visual arts, urban studies, and finance.  David has always had a passion for building things and thus is eager to improve the efficiency of the Indepedal prototype.
